August in California....HOT HOT HOT

Hello all, as is always the case we have reached August and the heat has gone in to the high 90's and 100's. Fires everywhere but so far nothing close to our house or shop. Can't tell you how nice it is to have a CDF Air Tanker station at the airport.

Unfortunately I can not give an update on my wrists as I have not had my appointment yet. I will definitely have an update next time. The finger is still numb and sleeping is uncomfortable, but I am hopeful the surgery can be scheduled quickly.

I have been doing more sewing then stitching because it is easier on my hands. I have 5 new bags in my Etsy Shop. https://www.etsy.com/shop/UntwistyourStitches?ref=hdr

 

And then with the left over triangles from the cutting  of the bags, I was able to make myself a lap quilt.

My oldest sister also has a birthday this month and I made her a zippered bag. She loves Daisies. 

I have made good progress on Spring Village.I changed the name on the Gift and Garden Store. I used Susan because I had an Aunt that could raise amazing flowers. And on the garage, which I charted myself I made it say Mike for my husband. 

I also got more work on my Nora Corbett, Bewitching Pixie Zenia.
